Inside The Kitchen at the LA Times, Gaggenau partnered with the Los Angeles Times and real-estate magazine The Real Deal for a unique, one-night-only dining experience, for an intimate group of LA’s top brokers, developers and investors. The special event featured Chef Jordan Kahn, executive chef and owner of two MICHELIN-Starred restaurant Vespertine , and Chef Val M. Cantu, chef and owner of two MICHELIN-Starred restaurant Californios for a collaborative menu and feast for the senses.

Seasonal cocktails and hors d’oeuvres featuring ingredients like sweet potato and uni kicked off the evening, as guests gathered for a thoughtful discussion hosted by Hiten Samtani, Associate Publisher of The Real Deal and Chris Argentieri, President of the Los Angeles Times. Samtani and Argentieri had a stirring conversation, with topics ranging from climate change action to design trends to real estate growth. Argentieri emphasized how a project like The Kitchen is central to the continued growth for the Los Angeles community and beyond. Notable guests included luxury real estate broker Kofi Nartey and spec developer Ramtin Ray Nosrati as well as some of Southern California’s leading developers, including Richard Weintraub and Neil Shekhter of NMS Properties as well as executives from CIM Group and Hackman Capital Partners.

Guests enjoyed dishes like turbot with mushrooms, leeks, and tapioca, as well as quail in a sumptuous molé sauce. Wine pairings from the 2021 MICHELIN Guide Sommelier of the Year, Charlotte Randolph, capped off the stunning event as guests mingled during dinner.
